While returning on 29th December from Las Vegas to San Jose I noticed a 18 wheel truck overtaking a Hummer at 80 mph in 70 zone. In past while traveling with my wife I mentioned that Hummer's are always on the right most lane and she asked me why. I had to tell her that the speed limit for Hummer was ~80 and may be thats the reason they are on right most lane.
I'm wondering which of the following is valid reasons:
1. GM has lost touch with the speed limits and reality.
2. Folks driving Hummer are more image cautious then practical.
3. May be its my perception...
4. Funny, but are the Hummer drivers conserving gas at lower speed?
